On May 12, 2008, when the ShecyPearls Team was still excited at working in our new office, the building suddenly waggled. All of us ran out of it, and later we realized that something unusual must have happened. We got news that a devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Sichuan Province, China a few minutes ago. This earthquake was so strong that it had been felt across the country.
As the news was broadcasted worldwide, we continuously received emails from our customers who expressed their concern and sorrow. The ShecyPearls Team thank all of you. We are safe in Guilin, and our business is running well. We had just moved into ShecyPearls new office three days before this tragedy happened.
When sitting in our bright office and watching numerous nightmarish scenes of the earthquake, every member of ShecyPearls has a strong desire to help, even though we are thousands miles away from the disaster. Because we know that distance can not be an excuse when so many people are suffering the catastrophe, we also know that we can do more than donating money. We can be a bridge between you and those victims in this deadly earthquake.
From now on, we will represent you to donate USD5 out of every USD100 you spend on ShecyPearls to victims in the Sichuan Earthquake. 5 dollars which equal to RMB35 can be paid for things such as 14kg rice, 7 meters gauze/ribbon or some basic medicine. It might be nothing to you, but it means a lot to the people who just lost their family, friends and home in where food, water and medication are urgently needed.
